To all the Staff @ Craddock House.
A very sincere thank you for all you did for Nancy for the 5 years that she was a resident of Craddock House. The care was outstanding and the love & affection given to Nancy was fantastic. Every time we visited Nancy we always felt the very positive atmosphere and we enjoyed going to see her & found every staff member so friendly and they always had time for chats. We never had any worries when we had to leave, as we knew Nancy was being well looked after. Nancy was very content & that was a great comfort to us. The family were always kept in touch if any problem arose.

‘It was the first time in years I felt like a man who didn’t have Parkinson’s. I felt like a 40-year-old, I had such a good time."
From Jimmy after a day out at the Punchestown Races with the team.
My name is Eileen Broe, my Mum had dementia and in 2016 it became apparent that she could no longer live on her own. She moved into Craddock House in July 2016 and lived there until she passed away in December 2020.
From the very first day, I knew it was the right move, everything that could be done was done to make Mum and me comfortable with her new home.
The staff are all amazing, they are kind, loving, caring and supportive to the residents and their families. Obviously covid changed everything and made things very difficult, especially for residents with dementia, who couldn’t understand what was going on, but even through those very dark and scary days, the staff were still giving the same care, support and attention to residents and their worried families. Craddock House is an amazing place and if and when the time comes, I would hope that they will have a bed for me!

As a family our decision to move our beloved Mam to a Nursing Home was a difficult decision but when we could no longer provide the level of care, she needed at home our unanimous decision was to contact Craddock House as they had cared for our aunt ten years previously with dignity and respect in an atmosphere full of professionalism, kindness and cooperation.
The management team were unchanged and many of the staff we were familiar with were still part of the team when she became a resident. Her Care Plan was carefully devised with input from her family and the transition while difficult for us was well managed and we felt fully supported and reassured by senior staff members who took time to get to know her and us. The caring ethos of the home is extended to residents and their families and it has truly become a home from home.
As Mam’s dementia progressed her care needs were revised and any concerns from us were listened to and incorporated. Each day she is up and dressed and while unable to take part in the many activities on offer she observes and enjoys in her own way.
The ethos and atmosphere of Craddock House is evident when you step inside the front door. All staff are friendly and relaxed. Residents and family members are addressed by their first names. Catering staff deliver delicious food with a smile. Personal care needs are dealt with promptly and with dignity. Mams room is carefully cleaned and maintained. Communication with family and photographs of activities are regularly posted. She is truly living the best life possible at this stage of her illness and while we visit every day, we are grateful when we hear her comment to the care staff that she couldn’t manage without them.
