Partnership Care
Care in Craddock House is delivered on a partnership basis. Our team led by Siobhan Tallon, resident’s families and healthcare experts collaborate to provide the very best for residents.
Long and short term care can be provided. The best way to decide if Craddock House is right for you is to visit and speak to the team. We will give you a tour and bring you through the process from start to finish.
Craddock House is a modern facility where you can be confident that residents’ happiness and wellbeing is our focus every day. It’s often the little things that mean a lot and the highly experienced team will care for our residents to the highest standards and take the time to get to know and understand exactly how they like things to be.
Respite Care
Every carer needs a little time to themselves. If you are supporting an older person living at home, taking a break is important for your wellbeing.
Residential respite is available for short – or long-term stay. You can relax, knowing we are taking care of the ones you love. They will be part of the Craddock House family and can enjoy all of the activities that we have to offer onsite.
People often try respite care before deciding on full time care.
Dementia Care
Programmes specifically designed to help people living with dementia are in place. Focus is on a person’s skills and abilities rather than those they have lost. The person rather than the disease is at the centre of everything.
We provide Sonas therapy, Reminiscence therapy and life stories.
Services
The team at Craddock House is second to none. This team includes the Assistant Director of Nursing, Clinical Nurse Managers, Nurses, and Healthcare Assistants.
The GP does weekly rounds and is on-call as appropriate. Residents can be facilitated to keep their own GP if they would prefer.
Additional services offered privately as appropriate include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy.
Infection Control
The safety of residents and team is our priority at Craddock House. There is regular contact with the HSE, HIQA and other healthcare experts.
Full training in infection prevention and control measures is in place and there is easy access to PPE.
Sharon is our Infection Control Lead and became a qualified nurse link practitioner through University College Cork.
